3D Printing and Friction Welding: Attaching 3D Printed Parts with Heat
I’ve seen some videos on this, and I wanted to give it a try myself. Friction welding is using heat generated by friction to weld parts together. Filament in a rotary tool spins fast enough to create enough heat to melt plastics together. It’s really cool, and you should try it if you can!

3D Printing and Testing the Makerbot Coin Sorter
We have lots of coins at the house, so I thought it was time I 3d printed a coin sorter. I found one on Thingiverse, and printed it twice. Once on the Ultimaker 3 using Colorfabb HT, and once on the Lulzbot TAZ6 using Polymaker Polylite PLA.

3D Printing a Proto Pasta Aromatic Pine Darth Vader Head
The low poly Darth Vader model from Flowalistik (Flowy McFlowFace) is awesome and I love it. I wanted a big version of Darth Vader’s head, and I had some awesome Proto Pasta filament to use!
