3D Printing Nerd

The Omolon Kumakatok HC4 from Destiny is a legendary weapon from the new taken king Expansion from destiny. This weapon is manufactured by Omolon. A high tech weapons manufacture which bullets are a flash cured resin on the chamber.

3D printing a Thorn from Destiny! It’s one of the most requested guns for me to 3D print. I printed this using Colorfabb PLA / PHA on my gMax 1.5 XT 3d printer. All pieces together took roughly 25-ish hours. Printed at 0.2mm layer height, 70mm/sec print speed, 10% infill.

I’m 3d printing the Hawkmoon gun that I gave away on my channel. I did encounter some problems once all the parts were printed, and I will be fixing them on video if you want that to happen.

My wife and I had the chance to see Felicia Day for her book signing tour stop in Seattle. Once I knew we were going, I knew I *had* to 3D print SOMETHING for her. I took her Geek & Sundry company logo, used Illustrator to trace it, and extruded the parts I wanted into 3d space using Photoshop. From there, I loaded my gMax 1.5 XT 3d printer with Colorfabb PLA/PHA filament, and printed out this awesome model.

My 3D printer broke down because of a nasty failed print. I had hardened PLA plastic all over the hot end. It was deep. I attempted to preheat to pull it off and that didn’t work. All it did was make smoke (bad!). I then tried a hair dryer on HOT, and that didn’t do the trick.

3d printing a companion cube from Portal! I love that game, and being able to print a companion cube is so, so cool!

I held a contest to give away a 3D printed Hawkmoon gun from the game Destiny. Since the contest started, my channel grew an amazing amount, and I’ve had some of the most wonderful interactions with fans and viewers!

I updated the timelapse rig on my 3d printer, and I tested it with a 3d printed poop!
