3D Printing Nerd

After the Type A Series 1 Unboxing & First Use, I got the printer dialed in and kicked off some printers. Being in the cold garage didn’t help, and bringing it inside was the best course of action. From there, I’ve attempted a few prints, and I think we have ourselves a good machine, with a few caveats.

I’m going to unbox the Type A Series 1 3d printer AND hopefully put it through it’s first use. LIVE. Let’s do this!

I have the Y axis done, now it’s time to tackle the X axis!

The 21st episode of Fan Mail Friday was one of the best yet! I opened up some amazing envelopes and some even more amazing packages! Everyone keeps adding to the huge pile of money we will be donating to Seattle Childrens Hospital during the “One Big Kiss for Seattle Childrens” radiothon on December 14th!

The Telegraph tweeted a link to a story where they said a 3d printer explosion killed a 17 year old boy.

Pink 3d printer filament doesn’t get the respect it deserves. Preston of PRESSRESET loves printing with pink filament, and Heather from A Pyro Design LOVES pink and will take anything pink she can get her hands on. Let’s show pink filament some respect and 3d print a bunch of pink things!

It was birthday party time for Jerry Berg aka Barnacules Nerdgasm! I wanted a fast, easy, fun, unique gift to give him, and I wanted to use 3d printing to make it. Colorfabb sent a roll of Corkfill, and I put my Ultimaker 2+ to use for this!
