The Spool Racer 2.0 made it’s public debut at the Midwest RepRap Festival this year. This glorious glider is the brainchild of Chuck Hellebuyck, the man behind FIlament Friday. Together with Barnacules Nerdgasm, set Chuck and Spool Racer 2.0 on a collision course with destiny.

MRRF 2018 was AMAZING! The Midwest RepRap Festival definitely showcased a large assortment of incredible 3d printing things, crazy 3d printers, and all sort of innovation in the 3d printing community.

The Midwest RepRap Festival in Goshen, Indiana is a once-a-year event where many from around the globe make their way to this 3d printing mecca of sorts. I was able to attend thanks to SeeMeCNC and I’m very happy I did! The event exceeded all expectations and set the stage for what many called the best year yet.

I needed some 4x scale nuts and screws for my OpenRC F1 project. Rather than try and source the right size metal nuts and screws, could they be 3d printed? Using Autodesk Fusion 360 and the McMaster-Carr catalog, it’s very much possible!
