CES 2019 is OVER! One highlight that sticks out is a 3d printing pen that uses chocolate! How crazy is that? Also, the Dexter arm from Haddington Dynamics, the iRacing Sim, Hypervsn, Formlabs turning me into a zombie, the IVI 3d Printer, and NewBeeDrone FPV radio controlled fun!

I’m going to CES 2019! I’ll be there a couple days, so let’s break down what tech I’ll have in my bag, which companies booths I’m looking forward to visit, and who I’m excited to see there!

Angus from Maker’s Muse told the world to print his Lattice Christmas Tree, so I did. TWICE. Then, I saw Chris from Practical Printing with the Impossible Tree, and I HAD to try it on my SeeMeCNC Artemis 300!

Materials Solutions, a Siemens UK business in Worcester, UK, invited me and a few others out for a press tour of the facility. We got to hear about how they operate, tour the floor where they had multiple MILLION DOLLAR+ 3d printers (Renishaw RenAM 500Q, EOS M290), and then I got to run around with my camera a bit 🙂

Having dry filament for 3d printing is very important when you want high quality extrusions. Filaments like nylon, petg and tpu are very hygroscopic and absorb moisture from the air. Using a food dehydrator is a GREAT way to dry your filaments!
