3D Printing Nerd

Raise3D invited us in to take a tour and go BEHIND THE SCENES at their US headquarters in Irivine, California. We saw R&D, Tech Support, QA, Sales, and shipping which held a SEA of 3d printers ready to go to their new owners. It was COOL meeting all the people that make the machine go, and I really hope you enjoy this peek behind the curtain.

The wonders of Industrial Additive Manufacturing are showcased at FORMNEXT in Frankfurt, Germany, and WE GOT TO SEE IT! The 2019 show was HUGE and the biggest one yet. We got the chance to stop by a few booths and learn about the latest and greatest!

I had the chance to sit down and have a conversation with Adrian Bowyer. He is the father of Rep Rap, and his work is directly responsible for what I’m able to do today. He is quite the conversationalist and an extremely good human. Have a go at our conversation.

Is 3D Printing Practical? I get asked that a lot. Yes, 3d printing makes all sorts of things, but the practical use is a favorite among many. Here, we go through a few of my practical 3d printing projects and see how they are holding up!

TREELON from Chaos Coretech printed in wood filament. It was a bit stringy, so I show how to use a heat gun to clear the strings. Also, printed in Prusament!
