3D Printing Nerd

SeeMeCNC got in touch and wanted me to review one of their printers. You bet I jumped at that chance! Soon, on my porch arrived a box. In that box? The SeeMeCNC ORION Delta 3d printer. I cannot WAIT to get some prints off this thing!

It’s once again time to open up some fan mail! I really love getting stuff from my audience, and this is one of the ways I choose to show my appreciation!

I review the Lulzbot Mini 3d printer. Plus, I show off some prints made with the printer, and give you an idea of what I think about the printer. It’s good stuff, you should watch.

There is an awesome model on Thingiverse called “Robber Rex”, and I decided to use that model as a way to show off Proto Pasta and Colorfabb exotic materials. I’m printing with Proto Pasta carbon fiber PLA and stainless steel PLA. I’m also printing with Colorfabb Bronzefil PLA.

Boots Industries filament store closing June 8, 2017.

I modified a parametric box from Thingiverse so I could print in 2 colors on my Flasforge Creator Pro. I used OpenSCAD to do the modifications, and Simplify3D to slice everything. The boxes turned out incredible!

I was contacted by Micro Swiss and asked to show you how to upgrade your Wanhao Duplicator i3 with an all metal hot end using the Micro Swiss kit. I thought it was a great idea!

I wanted to 3d print something from the video game Destiny and give it away, so I loaded up a Ghost model in Simplify3D, halved it, and then filmed the print in a timelapse. Then, wait, WHAT HAPPENED NEXT???

I visited Holodeck 3D Studios in Kirkland, WA for an interview, and a demonstration of their 3d scanning process. The owners are wonderful and the technology is amazing!
