MRRF 2018 Preview // Midwest RepRap Festival: The Best 3D Printing Convention on the Planet
The Midwest RepRap Festival in Goshen, Indiana is a once-a-year event where many from around the globe make their way to this 3d printing mecca of sorts. I was able to attend thanks to SeeMeCNC and I’m very happy I did! The event exceeded all expectations and set the stage for what many called the best year yet.

I needed some 4x scale nuts and screws for my OpenRC F1 project. Rather than try and source the right size metal nuts and screws, could they be 3d printed? Using Autodesk Fusion 360 and the McMaster-Carr catalog, it’s very much possible!

Worlds Largest OpenRC F1 Car – Phase 1 // 3D Printing the Parts (Matterhackers BUILD PLA / Pro Flex)
The OpenRC F1 fully 3d printed remote controlled car is a project by Daniel Noree. The idea is to print all the pieces needed for the car, then add electronics, to have yourself a custom built rc car. I took it a step further and printed everything at 4x scale!

Making Fun Filament at Proto-Pasta // 3D Printing with Transitions and Custom Colors!
My wife, kids, and I all took a trip to Proto Pasta in Vancouver, WA. (The Couv!) While there, each of the kids got to make some of their own custom colored filament, I made some transition filament, and we chatted with Alex about what making unique filaments means to him. It was a wonderful trip!
