A BIGGER Bambu for YOU
I am stepping away from the studio to see if I can master a challenging new material while on a family lakehouse vacation. I have brought along the Bambu Lab A1 and some high temperature PETG from Proto-Pasta to try and print a complex air purifier design, but the hardware limits of my portable setup are immediately put to the test. Between moisture issues and a bed that won't quite reach the required heat, I find myself constantly tweaking speeds and temperatures just to get a single successful layer. I finally manage to dial in the settings and produce a nearly perfect test print, but a major obstacle remains before I can commit to a full-scale project. Will my vacation experimentation lead to a breakthrough for printing advanced materials on consumer machines, or will the final hurdle prove too much for this lakeside setup?
