NOT Fixing my 3D Printer with Fire

My 3D printer broke down because of a nasty failed print. I had hardened PLA plastic all over the hot end. It was deep. I attempted to preheat to pull it off and that didn’t work. All it did was make smoke (bad!). I then tried a hair dryer on HOT, and that didn’t do the trick.

Finally, I resorted to a blow torch.

NOW WE ARE TALKING.

Yes, this video is long. Yes, I could have cut it down. Yes, I’m not smart. Yes, I should have done something else. Yeah, I get it.

I’m not smart.

The day was INCREDIBLY frustrating. Taking a blow torch to the part of my 3D printer that broke because of a failed print was immensely cathartic 🙂
